July 9, 2025 - My Favorite Comic!
Hello there :D
Let’s talk about the orange cat who hates Mondays, loves lasagna, and somehow became one of the most iconic characters in comic history.
Yes, Garfield!
Even if you've never read the comics, you've surely seen him at least once. But how can a grumpy, overweight cat become such a hit?
Let me give you a clue.. :D/
Are you tired of life? Feeling lazy? Loves lasagna? :D
Garfield is painfully relatable! He overindulges, is sarcastic, hates Mondays, and best of all, he’s not ashamed of it! While other comic characters strive or change, Garfield refuses to grow. He can say what we couldn't say, He simply doesn't care, and that is what made him oddly charming >:3
Created by Jim Davis in 1978, Garfield started off as a humble newspaper comic strip. Over four decades later, his charms never failed to entertain us!
Here are some examples of his comics!
Garfield comics are simple, stress-free, and relatable. It covers various genres from comedy, slice of life, and even psychological horror! .... i guess psychological horror is not simple.. but their main genre is comedy and slice of life :D
Just in case you are curious about it, here is an example of Garfield's psychological horror comic that makes the audience go from hahaha to oh my gosh!
Wow another Garfield!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Garfield comic was when he got so hungry he ate bigger and bigger things until he was as big as the earth, and then ate that! Of course it was just a dream.
