August 4, 2025 - The End!

I am sorry for not being able to attend the class today due to an important event... TT It has been a blast spending these past 3 months with you all! I've seen interesting and creative content that proves that you all are amazing creators :D I will miss this class very much.. But everything will eventually come to an end. Both good and bad, so until next time! And please don't hesitate to greet me if you see me wandering around.. I won't bite :D It was fun to write and read new topics twice every week. Some were challenging and needed research, while others were a piece of cake. Thanks to this class, I get to know you all better, and I learned some new stuff about the world and topics I don't usually search. I am glad that I was allowed to be a part of this wonderful class, and I kind of hope it doesn't end this fast.. :'D I wish you all the best of luck for your new adventure ahead! :D once again.. Thank you for everything, and I will see you around, until ne...

It has been a blast spending the last 3 months with you all! :D This is a real-life story when the weather humbled me..  I did the laundry during the typhoon and... well, let's save the excitement for the video! XD It was a painful experience, but remembering it made me laugh :3 I didn't have much time to edit, so please bear with the poor quality. However, I tried my best, and I hope you enjoy it too! In case you can't play the video, here's a link!

July 21, 2025 - What is News to You?

It’s your special day! Everything has to be perfect! you have been planning for this day for months, or even your entire life.  And then.. it happens. Out of nowhere, someone   uninvited   shows up. No formal wear. No gift. Not even a polite “hello”. They casually stomp in, as if they own the place, past shocked guests. They're big. Tough. Covered in dust. Wait, is that.. a   horn ?? Yep. It's a rhinoceros.. literally :D On May 27th, 2025, a rhino casually walked into a wedding in Nepal. It quickly went viral and spread all over the internet.  Here is a link to it! How did this bizarre event happen to begin with? As crazy as it sounds, it is not entirely uncommon in India! This event venue was located in a village near the edge of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its rich biodiversity, including over 600 greater one-horned rhinos. So it might escape and happen to walk into someone's once in a lifetime moment, or it might just be a...

July 16, 2025 - Inflation Panic!

Image
Inflation.. classic.. a single word that everyone fears >:3 Sometimes I wish I could turn back time, when things were less expensive. At this point, the zeros on money bills will continue to increase.. and we will literally become a slave to society :'D working for the same amount of money but being able to buy less from it as prices of things increase. Speaking of which, have you heard about the Zimbabwe Dollar? Yes, when money literally turned into trash, people use it as toilet paper.. literally... since it's worth less than real toilet paper. Surprisingly, it was pretty absorbent too :D/ Imagine walking into a store, grabbing a loaf of bread, and beind told it costs 3 billion dollars.  At its peak in 2008, Zimbabwe's inflation rate hit 89.7 sextillion percent per month! That is.. not 5%, not 10%, not even 20%.. it's  89,700,000,000,000,000,000,000% TT  Prices were fluctuating absurdly fast..  A loaf of bread could cost   $2 million ZWD in the mornin...

July 14, 2025 - Dead Media

The development of technology is so rapid that it can sometimes be cruel...  When I was little, my dad brought me my very first phone, which was a BlackBerry. Back then, it was a symbol of status. I was so proud of it that I started adding people, even random ones, to my BlackBerry Messenger, or BBM for short. So, what is BBM? Launched in August 2005   by Research In Motion (RIM),  BlackBerry Messenger was a giant; it was a revolution! Before BBM, mobile communication was dominated by   SMS. S imple, slow, and expensive. You paid   per message , couldn’t tell if it was received, and there was a character limit. Group chats didn’t exist, and it was not possible to share photos, videos, or voice messages.  When BBM came out, it wasn’t just a new way to text. It was a   cultural shift,  a sign that communication was evolving fast. It can be personalized by adding unique profile pictures and status to show people your quirks :3 BBM made texting ...

July 9, 2025 - My Favorite Comic!

Image
Hello there :D Let’s talk about the orange cat who hates Mondays, loves lasagna, and somehow became one of the most iconic characters in comic history. Yes,  Garfield! Even if you've never read the comics, you've surely seen him at least once. But how can a grumpy, overweight cat become such a hit? Let me give you a clue.. :D/ Are you tired of life? Feeling lazy? Loves lasagna? :D Garfield is painfully relatable! He overindulges, is sarcastic, hates Mondays, and best of all,   he’s not ashamed of it!  While other comic characters strive or change, Garfield   refuses   to grow. He can say what we couldn't say,  He simply doesn't care, and that is what made him oddly charming >:3 Created by   Jim Davis   in 1978,   Garfield   started off as a humble newspaper comic strip. Over four decades later, his charms never failed to entertain us!  Here are some examples of his comics! Garfield comics are simple, stress-free, and relata...

Mid-Term Long Form Assignment - July 7, 2025

Imagine being forbidden to see your lover for an entire year, just because you love them so much that you neglected your duties.. Suffocating..  Well, that is the story behind the Tanabata festival (Star festival), which is celebrated on either July 7th (Gregorian calendar) or August 7th (Lunisolar calendar), depending on the region. Meaning.. You can celebrate it twice by going to a different region :D/ It originated from an ancient Chinese legend, where during early summer, two constellations, Vega and Altair, could see each other by passing the Milky Way. These constellations are believed to be a couple. Legends say that there once lived a beautiful princess called Orihime (represented by the constellation Vega), the daughter of the sky King. Orihime dedicated her life weaving brautiful faabrics, but she was lonely. Moved by his daughter's sadness, the King arranged for her to meet Hikoboshi (represented by the constellation Altair), a cowherd on the other side of the Milky Way....
